SRES® - SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST



As you read this, it is going to sounds like I am asking a lot of questions - I AM! In actuality though, I'd like to think I might have some of the answers that you may be interested in.

If you are a person of maturity or looking ahead towards retirement, you've started to plan for these years. Maybe you are currently trying to maintain a lifestyle with changing needs on a 'fixed' income. Most of us never planned on such skyrocketing expenses hitting our investment incomes so hard or vanish entirely. An SRES trained real estate agent may provide some options and solutions.

Some questions you've likely asked yourself: “Do we put the real estate property in Trust?”, “Should we downsize?”, “Upsize in anticipation of grandchildren?“ These are questions every home owner asks themselves at one time or another. An SRES can be a valuable source of information and give you the appropriate referrals, before a home is put on the market.

There are agencies that can provide services such as meals on wheels, in home care, hospice, tax planning, and income management, among others. Don't forget, you and your family know it is important to consider your tangible wants and needs but your safety should also be considered.

There is no cookie cutter plan or right answer for each individual. The plan you develop today, will likely change and evolve as your circumstances change. Unfortunately however, without a plan, sometimes urgency can fix the short term - but at what cost?
